Let’s go to Metsä / Moominvalley Park using the Hidaka and Hannou Bus!

What is Metsä / Moominvalley Park?

Metsä includes “Moominvalley Park” and “Metsä Village”.

At Moominvalley Park, you can experience fun facilities like the “Moominhouse” from the Moomin stories and enjoy live shows featuring the Moomin family and their friends.

Metsä Village is located in a forest and features a lake. There are shops where you can experience the “Nordic lifestyle”, as well as enjoying various activities such as canoeing, workshops, and other seasonal events.

Let’s go to Metsä by bus!

There are two ways to go to Metsä.
One is to take the bus from Musashi-Takahagi Station on the JR Kawagoe Line. The other way is to catch the bus from the “North Exit” of Hanno Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. Note: Some buses departing from Hanno Station are “Direct Buses” to Metsä (operated jointly by Seibu Bus and Kokusai Kogyo Bus). (Fares as of December 10, 2023)

How to ride the bus

STEP
Board the bus from the middle door.
STEP
If you have a transportation IC card, tap the card on the card reader.
If you’re paying by cash, get on the bus without taking a ticket.

Tap your IC card to the card reader near the entrance to make a record of where you got on the bus. (This is necessary, even if getting on at the beginning of the route.)

If you are paying by cash, there is no need to take a ticket from the ticket issuing machine.

When your bus stop has been announced, press the “Get Off” button.

The fare is displayed on the fare display board in front of the bus. The top row indicates the ticket number, and the bottom row shows the fare. Look for the first column, which represents “No Ticket”. (No Ticket means you got on the bus at the first stop)

Children’s fares are half price (rounded up to the nearest 10 yen).

STEP
Please pay the fare when getting off the bus. Tap your IC card to the card reader, or if you’re paying by cash, drop change into the fare box.

When you’re ready to get off the bus, tap the card reader on the fare box with your transportation IC card to pay the fare. (The fare is automatically calculated)

Please notify the driver if you need to charge your IC card or need change.

Please get off from the front of the bus. Thanks for riding with us!

When getting off, please be careful of bicycles and motorcycles. Please watch your step, as it can be slippery on rainy days.
